OUR PROJECTS
We envision an improved quality of life of Children (7-17 years), Youth (18-35 years), Women and Men (18 years and above) in Uganda.
This will be reached by supporting them and by empowering them with Education, Good Health Care and awareness, Entrepreneurship and life skills training and Child protection through sentitization, trainings, seminars, workshops, conferences and advocacy.
We believe that the total development of children through activities of health, education and childcare will lead to the development of the entire community
VOCATIONAL SKILLS AND ACADEMY CENTER
AFG aims to equip the beneficiaries with life changing skills which can be put into use after acquiring them. Skills which can be acquired include: tailoring, knitting, carpentry, welding, building and hair dressing.
We are at the moment working on the project of building an Academy for disadvantaged children.
REPAIRS
Engaging beneficiaries in learning Vehicle repairs and maintenance skills.
Most of the beneficiaries are trained at our Partner's premises (Matrix Motor Garage)
PAPER BEADS
We help people transform their lives and the lives of their families. Through the sale of their beautiful, handmade paper bead jewelry, the women can feed their families, send their children to school, and look forward to a richer future.
Money becomes savings, savings becomes hope, hope becomes opportunity and sustainable businesses are born.
SCHOOL INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVMENTS & PROJECTS
We work on development of income-generating and food-generating projects in school(s).
Such projects are : construction of poultry houses, school garden...etc...
YOUTH
AFG supports children to attain formal education through provision of scholastic materials. Materials provided include: books, pens, pencils, geometry sets and uniforms. We support children to attain formal education which they might have not acquired.
PHOTO EXHIBITS
With the support of Benoit Briand, Photo Exhibits have been organized in Paris (FRANCE) to communicate on our concrete actions in BEUPA (Basic Education in Urban Poverty Areas school):
